Connect LinkedIn and WhatsApp to Aithon
Connect your own LinkedIn and WhatsApp accounts so Aithon can run outreach as you, within limits that keep your accounts safe.
Last updated
Outreach on LinkedIn and WhatsApp runs from your own accounts. Each seller connects their personal LinkedIn and their WhatsApp, and Aithon then acts as them: sending connection requests and messages, watching for replies, and pausing when someone answers. You sign in on a hosted connection page; Aithon never stores your LinkedIn password.
Prerequisites
- A LinkedIn account. Sales Navigator is not required. A free account works but has much lower sending limits; see the table below.
- WhatsApp on your phone. The connection works like WhatsApp Web: you scan a code.
- An active Aithon account.
Step 1: Open Integrations
Open the menu under your name at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Integrations.
Step 2: Connect LinkedIn
Find LinkedIn and click Connect. On the hosted page, sign in with your LinkedIn credentials. If LinkedIn asks for a verification code, complete it there. You are then returned to Aithon and the LinkedIn card shows Connected, together with your seat type and the sending limits that apply to it.
Step 3: Connect WhatsApp
Find WhatsApp and click Connect. The hosted page shows a QR code. On your phone, open WhatsApp, go to Linked devices, and scan it. You are then returned to Aithon and the WhatsApp card shows Connected.
What Aithon does with LinkedIn
Aithon can send connection requests with or without a note, send messages, send InMail from your seat's credit pool, and view profiles. These actions run inside outreach sequences and campaigns you set up, and as one-off actions from a lead's page. Aithon also learns when a request is accepted and reads replies, so a sequence stops as soon as the person answers.
What Aithon does with WhatsApp
From a lead's page you can send a WhatsApp message to a stakeholder. Aithon drafts it for you and you can refine it (shorter, warmer, more direct) before sending. A message needs a mobile number: Aithon resolves it at send time through its contact-enrichment providers, which may use an enrichment credit, exactly as revealing a contact does. If no mobile number can be found, nothing is sent; Aithon never guesses a number.
Sending limits and account safety
LinkedIn penalises accounts that behave like bots, so Aithon caps what it does on your behalf. The effective limit is always the lowest of your campaign's settings and your seat's limits.
The caps depend on your LinkedIn seat, and a free seat is limited to a handful of connection requests a month where a paid seat allows far more. Aithon reads your seat type and InMail balance from LinkedIn and shows the limits that apply to you on the LinkedIn card, so check there before planning a campaign.
Campaigns add their own limits, working hours and stop-on-reply, set on the campaign's Settings tab. Sends are spread across the day rather than fired in a burst, and Aithon skips people you are already connected to or have a pending request with.
If LinkedIn challenges the session (a verification code, a password prompt), Aithon marks the connection as needing attention and pauses your active campaigns until you reconnect.
Disconnecting
On the Integrations page, click Manage on the card, then Disconnect. The session ends, so reconnecting later starts fresh. Your other connections are unaffected.
