Launch and run a campaign

Put a published sequence to work on a set of contacts: add people, choose sending mailboxes, pass the pre-launch check, start, and read the results.

A campaign is a published sequence applied to a set of people, with its own sending mailboxes, limits and schedule. Campaigns live under Outreach, then Campaigns.

Create the campaign

Click New Campaign, give it a name, and pick a sequence. Only published sequences are offered; if the list is empty, publish one first. The campaign opens in draft with five tabs: Leads, Analytics, Flow, Add Contacts and Settings.

Add people

The Add Contacts tab offers several routes:

  1. Quick add: type or paste contacts directly.
  2. Upload CSV: map your columns, then review the rows. At least one column must map to Email or LinkedIn URL.
  3. From Contacts: pick from your contacts library.
  4. From Finder: search and select from People Finder.
  5. From Greenfield: add contacts from a discovery.
  6. From Campaign: copy leads from another campaign.

You can also send people to a campaign from where you find them: the Contacts list, a lead's stakeholders, or a deal's stakeholders all have an Add to campaign action. A person needs an email address or a phone number to join.

Settings

The Settings tab holds the sending mailboxes, the daily limits and the schedule. Settings are editable while the campaign is in draft or paused; while it is running the tab reads Pause the campaign to edit settings.

Under Sending mailboxes, pick the mailboxes this campaign sends from. Sends spread across them, each within its own daily cap, and a person's follow-ups always come from the mailbox that sent them the first email. Only mailboxes connected with outreach access appear; a campaign with email steps cannot launch without at least one. The daily limits, working hours, time zone and active days are explained in the sending-rules guide.

The pre-launch check

The Pre-launch readiness panel shows, for every merge tag your sequence uses, how many of the enrolled people have a value for it, so you can filter to the people who would get a blank and fix them before anything sends.

Clicking Start campaign opens a summary: how many people enter the sequence, the first steps, the send window, the daily limits, whether LinkedIn is connected, and the state of each sending mailbox. Below it Aithon lists blockers and warnings. A blocker stops the launch: no leads, no sending mailbox for a sequence that sends email, a sending pool with no mailbox for the provider the sequence uses, or every mailbox unavailable. A warning lets you proceed with eyes open, for example "12 of 40 leads don't have an email, so those steps will be skipped for them", or that the unsubscribe footer is on but your organization has no postal address set yet.

While it runs

The header button becomes Pause, and Resume when paused. There is no stop button: a campaign completes on its own when no one is left mid-sequence. Two chips can appear in the header. Sequence has newer changes means the sequence was republished after this campaign froze its copy; review the update on the Flow tab. Paused automatically means sends were failing; fix the sending mailbox, then resume.

Reading the results

The tiles at the top count people by state: Total, Pending, Active, Waiting for you, Replied, Completed, Failed and Suppressed. Waiting for you is the Call steps that need a person. The Analytics tab shows a stage breakdown, what happened at each step of the sequence, and every number opens the Leads tab filtered to exactly the people it counted. Opening a person shows their timeline: each send, each skip with its reason, and the reply that stopped them, with a link to the thread.
