Find net-new accounts with Greenfield

Point Aithon at one of your products and let it research companies you are not already working, score them against the use cases you sell, and hand back a ranked list.

Last updated

Greenfield is for the accounts you do not have yet. You choose a product and the use cases you want to sell into, set some filters, and Aithon researches companies that match, scores each one, and returns a ranked list with the signals behind the score, the people to talk to, and a recommended way in. It sits under Prospecting, then Greenfield, in the left sidebar.

Before you start

Greenfield runs off your product catalogue, so the product you pick needs to exist and have finished its research. If the dialog tells you to add or finish a product first, start with Set up your product catalogue.

Start a discovery

Click New Discovery and fill in the dialog.

  1. Product, the one you want to sell. Required.
  2. Use Cases, up to five of that product's use cases. Required. Select top 5 picks them for you.
  3. Industry and Geography. Leave them alone for all industries and worldwide.
  4. Bank profile, if you sell to banks: total assets, gross loans, total deposits, specialisation and commercial loan mix.
  5. My accounts only, if you want to stay inside your own book rather than find new companies.
  6. Employee Range and Annual Revenue.
  7. Max Accounts, how many companies to research. Twenty-five by default.

Click Start Discovery and you land on the results page while it works.

Choose the use cases deliberately. They are the lens for the whole run: a company scores well because it shows evidence of the needs you picked, so five loosely related use cases produce a vaguer list than two sharp ones.

While it runs

The results fill in live. You will see candidates being found, then each company scored one at a time, with rows appearing as they complete. Status shows as Pending, Running, Completed or Failed on the run and in the discoveries list, and you can leave the page and come back.

Reading the results

Each row carries the company, its industry and size, a score, a coloured dot per use case, a window, its contacts, the top signal and a suggested entry point.

The Window is the timing call: Act Now, Next 30 Days, Next Quarter or Monitor. Sorting by score tells you who fits; the window tells you who fits now, and the two do not always agree. Filter by either from the toolbar, and read the footer for the run's averages and how many landed in each window.

The use-case dots show fit per use case: strong, moderate, weak or not rated. A company can score well overall on one strong use case and be a poor fit for the rest, which the dots make obvious and the score does not.

Open a company for the full brief: the score broken into need, timing, competitive position and readiness; an executive summary with the best fit, why now and what to watch; the strategy, entry point and positioning; every signal with its source; and the key risks, momentum drivers and alignment areas. Export PDF saves it to share.

Turning results into work

Four ways out of a run, depending on what you want:

  1. Request on a row asks an admin to add that company to your organization's accounts. It shows as Requested until an admin approves it.
  2. Save as list freezes the whole run as a static list of companies. An admin then enables it in All Accounts from the Lists tab, and it behaves like any other account list.
  3. Find Contacts on a use case inside a company finds the people to approach, and Search manually opens People Finder if you would rather search yourself.
  4. Create lead, where your organization uses the lead lifecycle, turns a use case at that company into a lead you own.

From a contact you can Add to contacts or Add to list, and reach them from there.

Managing discoveries

The list page holds every run with its product, parameters, status, account count and date. Admins can switch between My Discoveries and All Discoveries. Search by product, filter by status, and delete your own runs; deleting one removes its results permanently.
