Sending limits, warm-up and replies

The rules Aithon applies to every campaign so your mailboxes and LinkedIn account stay healthy: daily caps, working hours, warm-up, bounce protection and stop-on-reply.

Last updated

Outreach that looks automated gets mailboxes flagged and LinkedIn accounts restricted. Aithon paces everything it sends on your behalf, and the limits below are the ones a campaign cannot exceed. The effective limit for any channel is always the lowest of three numbers: the campaign's own setting, what your plan or LinkedIn seat allows, and, for email, the mailbox's warm-up cap.

Daily limits

Each campaign has its own limits, per account, set on its Settings tab.

Fifty emails a day is the safe ceiling for one mailbox, which is why it cannot be raised. More volume comes from adding mailboxes to the sending pool, not from a bigger number. InMails are paced per LinkedIn seat and shared across every campaign using that seat; the daily figure controls pace, while your monthly credits are metered by LinkedIn.

Working hours and pacing

A campaign sends only inside its working hours (9:00 to 18:00 by default), on its active days (Monday to Friday by default), in its time zone (New York by default; set it per campaign). Sends are spread across the window at a human rhythm rather than fired in a burst, and a person who becomes due outside the window is scheduled for the next opening rather than at the stroke of nine.

Which mailbox sends

Aithon spreads a campaign's sends across the mailboxes in its pool, and every follow-up to a person comes from the mailbox that first wrote to them, so the thread stays intact. A mailbox that is removed from the pool or disconnected hands its people to another mailbox, and their next email starts a fresh thread.

Warm-up

A newly connected mailbox is not trusted with a full day's sending straight away. Aithon ramps it up gradually; the Integrations page shows it as Warming until it reaches its cap. A mailbox that already has an established sending history can skip the ramp from the same page.

Bounce protection

An address that bounces permanently is suppressed across your whole organization, and anyone mid-sequence at that address is stopped. A mailbox with too many bounces is paused automatically; the Integrations page shows Paused until with the time, and sending resumes on its own.

A campaign whose sends keep failing pauses itself and tells you in the notification bell; fix the mailbox, then resume.

Replies

Stop-on-reply is on by default for email steps. When someone replies to a message Aithon sent, the sequence stops for them, normally within minutes and always before the next step goes out. LinkedIn replies stop a sequence the same way.

When someone replies, their status becomes Replied, any other sequence you are running for the same person stops too, and you get a notification in the bell. An out-of-office auto-reply does not stop the sequence; it defers the next step, by three days unless the sequence says otherwise.

Unsubscribe

If a sequence has the unsubscribe footer on, every email carries a one-click unsubscribe header and a footer with your organization's postal address, which an admin sets once under the campaign's Settings. Bulk-sender rules require a physical mailing address on commercial email, so the pre-launch check warns if it is missing.

One more recommendation

Do not run cold outreach from the mailbox you also connect for inbox intelligence. Bounce traffic then lands in your insights. A dedicated sending mailbox keeps the two apart.
