Use Aithon from Claude or ChatGPT

Aithon exposes an MCP server. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT call tools in another product. Once connected, your assistant signs in with your Aithon account and can read your accounts, opportunities, stakeholders and deal intelligence, exactly what you can see in Aithon and nothing more. This connection is in beta.

The server URL is https://app.aithon.ai/api/mcp.

Step 1: Create an app in Aithon (organization admin)

Each organization registers its assistants as apps, which gives you your own client ID and your own callback URLs to revoke or extend later.

1. Open the menu under your name at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Integrations, then find the AI Assistants (MCP) card.
2. Click Create a new app, pick the preset for your assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, or Custom for any other MCP client), give it a name, and create it.
3. Expand the app's Advanced section and copy the Client ID. The Server URL is shown at the top of the card.

Everyone in the organization can see the server URL and client IDs; only admins can create or delete apps.

Step 2: Connect from Claude

Works the same on claude.ai and in Claude Desktop.

1. Open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
2. Paste the server URL.
3. Expand Advanced settings and paste the client ID. Do not skip this step: without it, Claude cannot complete the connection.
4. Add the connector, then sign in with your Aithon account when prompted and allow access.

Step 2, alternative: Connect from ChatGPT

Use the ChatGPT website, not the desktop app's Plugins screen, which does not support the sign-in flow Aithon uses.

1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings, enable Developer mode, then go to Connectors and add a new one.
2. Enter the server URL and choose OAuth as the authentication method.
3. Under the advanced OAuth settings, set the registration method to User-Defined OAuth Client. ChatGPT shows a callback URL unique to this connector; copy it.
4. Back in Aithon, open your app's Advanced section and add that callback URL (the ChatGPT preset prompts you for it).
5. In ChatGPT, paste the client ID, leave the client secret blank, and set the token endpoint authentication method to none.
6. Create the connector, click Connect, and sign in with your Aithon account.

If the connector reports that no actions loaded, refresh it once; the first listing of tools can race the sign-in.

Other MCP clients

Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth works. Create the app with the Custom preset, and register your client's callback URL on it. Callback URLs must be https, match exactly, and carry no wildcard, query string or fragment.

What your assistant can do

Start by asking who you are signed in as; the first tool confirms your Aithon identity and organization. From there the assistant can look up accounts and opportunities, list stakeholders and their roles, pull the evidence and health behind a deal, summarise a deal's communications timeline, list leads, review call history, and search Aithon's own documentation. It can also draft sequences and campaigns and review the moves Aithon's agents have lined up for you.

Nothing is sent from the assistant. Every outreach action it takes produces a draft or a queued item that a person then publishes or starts inside Aithon. Actions that spend credits, such as revealing or enriching a contact, cost the same as they do in the app.

Access

Each person signs in with their own Aithon account, and the assistant sees exactly what they see in Aithon. Sessions expire, and the assistant will ask you to sign in again when one does. Deleting an app in Aithon disconnects everyone who connected through it.
